A thought from George Ford
“Yet you Lord are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8)
Reflection
No matter how long we have called ourselves Christians we continue to be “a work in progress.” Through our bible reading, prayers and the prompting of the Holy Spirit God is at work in us, continually changing us more and more into His likeness throughout our lives. As St. Paul wrote ‘He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Phil.1v6)
Prayer
Heavenly Father Lord of all life, we praise you that we are the work of your hands. Continue we pray to mould us more and more into your image as we grow in love and understand of you and your ways through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Worship
Spirit of the living God fall afresh on me; Spirit of the living God fall afresh on me. Break me – melt me – mould me – fill me. Spirit of the living God fall afresh on me. (Daniel Iverson 1935)
