A thought from George Ford
'Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me an dI in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”' (John 15:4-5)
Reflection
When we put our faith in Jesus and continue in that relationship with Him through reading His Word and our prayers, His love will not only fill us, but overflows from us in fruit of our actions and attitude towards others. Showing ourselves to truly being His disciples to the glory of God.
Prayer
Heavenly Father as St Richard of Chichester prayed:
‘Thanks be to Thee, my Lord Jesus Christ, for all the benefits thou hast won for us. For all the pains and insults you have borne for us. O most merciful Redeemer, friend and brother, may we know thee more clearly, love thee more dearly, and follow thee more nearly day by day. For your names sake. Amen.’
Worship
‘King of Kings, Majesty, God of heaven living in me. Gentle Saviour, closest friend, Strong Deliverer, Beginning and End. All within me falls at your throne. Your majesty I can but bow; I lay my all before you now. In royal robes I don’t deserve . I live serve your majesty.’ (Jarrod Cooper 1996)
