A thought from George Ford

‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’

Reflection

God our Heavenly Father created us, and loves us. At the moment Jesus died on the cross, the Temple curtain was torn in two giving us all direct access to God, who wants for us to share the anything and everything of our lives with Him. That we might hear the comfort of His guarding and guiding, and know His peace in all we do.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, creator and sustainer of life in all its fullness, help us we pray, to prayerfully share with you all our concerns and interests, hopes and fears. May we hear you speaking to us in the stillness, and the quiet reading of your word. That through your Spirit living in us, we might we be directed aright, and know your wonderful peace which is beyond all understanding, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour . Amen.
