A thought from George Ford

‘Ye you O Lord are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.’ (Isaiah 64v8)

Reflection:

We all have our weaknesses, and flaws to our character which we regret and are ashamed of. But, we have a Heavenly Father who loves us. He created us [Gen.1:27} He knew us before we were born and knitted us together [Ps.139:13] and in His great love forgives us, and re-creates us in His likeness through Jesus.[2Cor.5:17-19] Just as the potter remoulds the clay of pots with cracks or other flaws, so to through Jesus God forgives and remoulds all who would turn to Him and His great love.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, you love us, and all you have created, with an everlasting love,. You gave us Jesus that we might know that love deep within our hearts and lives. Forgive, we pray, all that mars what you created us to be; And through a renewed Spirit in us, remould us more and more into the person you would have us be, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen.

Worship

I am a new creation. No more in condemnation, here in the grace of God I stand. My heart is overflowing, My love just keeps on growing, Here in the grace of God I stand. And I will praise you Lord, Yes I will praise you Lord, And sing of all that you have done. A joy that knows no limit, A lightness in my spirit, Here in the grace of God I stand. And I will praise you Lord, Yes I will praise you Lord, And sing of all that you have done.
